LCA Screening of Mobile Phone Service

The purpose of this project was to identify the environmental impacts of the Greentel telephone service delivered by MobileValue in order for MobileValue to offset these impacts by investment in renewable energy.

Our role

2.0 LCA consultants performed the LCA screening according to the principles of the ISO standards: ISO 14040 og 14044. The project resulted in a project report (in Danish). Project completed May 2010.

Screening of phone service

The study was limited to a so-called LCA-screening, since there was no critical review included and no evaluation of completeness and no consistency check. The study was limited to greenhouses gasses and the use of fossil energy. The product flow investigated was per costumer year, as seen below – more details in project report (in Danish only):
