Consumer Demands on EPD’s
The aim of this project was to identify the main consumer concerns on Type III environmental declarations and give recommendations on how to address these.

Our role
The study was commissioned by ANEC. ANEC represents the consumer organisations from the European Union and European Free Trade Association (EFTA) countries. The report, “Consumer demands on Type III environmental declarations” includes 10 example EPDs, based on generic LCAs, demonstrating how the recommendations can be implemented in practice. The recommendations were intended to support ANEC’s input to the political debate on Integrated Product Policy and into European and international standardisation work. Project completed February 2006.
